We get it, landscape design can seem daunting, and sometimes you’re just not sure where to start. At Hinsdale Nurseries, we’re here to help. Our DIY Landscape Design Service helps gardeners, like you, turn your 200 square feet or less landscape into a masterpiece for $75.

A Hinsdale Nurseries Landscape Designer will provide you with a list of recommended plant materials and pricing through email and phone calls. You’ll also receive a $50 voucher* to our retail location to pick up all your planting needs. If necessary, a simple sketch will be provided after the purchase.

Want to get a head start? Be ready to provide the following information:

• Exact measurements of the planting area. If keeping any existing structures or plant materials, their measurements within the planting area must be noted.
• Sun conditions (all day sun, morning sun only, afternoon sun, all day full shade, dappled shade, etc.)
• Soil conditions (holds water – low area or heavy clay; drains quickly – top of hill or sandy; sheltered area – never gets water; neither dry nor wet – drains well).
• Current pictures of the planting area (identify which direction is north).
• Preferred plant materials, color, style, etc.
• Full street address.
• Email address and phone number.
