DESERT PLAINS FOUNTAIN GRASS
Fountain grasses form graceful, arching clumps in the garden. Desert Plains distinguishes itself from other varieties with a beautiful change of colors through the season. Green grass blades begin to emerge in early summer with tips turning deep red as they mature. In fall, the entire clump will take on red, orange, and gold tones. Showy, bottlebrush flowers emerge dusky purple in early fall and age to tan. Does best in full sun with well-drained winter soils. Cut to about 6 inches tall in spring.
