EMPRESS WU HOSTA
Description
Empress Wu giant hosta was named in honor of the only lady emperor of China. Huge dark green, deeply veined leaves can measure up to 1 1/2′ wide. Their large leaves provide excellent coverage for dying bulb foliage. Grows best in moist, well-drained soil, filtered or dappled sunlight. Morning sun is tolerable, but afternoon sun is usually too harsh. Blooms early to midsummer. Attracts hummingbirds. A variety of the Shadowland series of hosta.
