EYE STOPPER CORK TREE
Description
Amur cork trees are noted for their attractive shape, bark, and foliage. Eye Stopper has the clearest yellow fall color of all cork trees. Although upright in youth, it will develop a rounded, spreading crown. Bark becomes beautifully ridged with a cork-like appearance as the tree matures. Mostly fruitless, but pea-sized fruits may develop and persist on the tree through winter. These can be somewhat unpleasantly aromatic if bruised. Tolerates urban air pollutants and drought once established.
