GRATEFUL RED HYDRANGEA
An exciting new introduction, this red mophead hydrangea will be a standout in your landscape. Flowers bloom on old and new wood beginning mid-summer. In alkaline soils, the flowers are a deep pink, verging on red. Heading into fall, flowers will turn a velvety lavender color. In acidic soils, flowers will be a dark purple color. These plants prefer morning sun with some cover during the heat of the afternoon. Provide extra water during extended periods of heat.
