MIDNIGHT MARVEL HIBISCUS
Description
This compact, hardy form of hibiscus is valued for its showy late summer display of enormous, satiny, scarlet-red blooms. Flowers can be up to 9″ across and open along the main stems. Burgundy, maple-like foliage has its deepest color when grown in full sun. Hibiscus are one of the last perennials to break dormancy in spring, but more than make up for their slow start with a vigorous growth habit.
