PALE PURPLE CONEFLOWER
This native plant is tolerant of drought, heat, humidity and poor soils, but it does require good drainage. Wet or poorly drained soils will cause it to rot. A deep taproot enables a long-lived, very low maintenance plant capable of handling hot, dry situations. An icon of the prairie, this plant looks beautiful planted in a naturalized setting that includes other prairie flowers and grasses, or in a mixed border garden.
