BACK IN BLACK SEDUM
Description
Nearly black, fleshy leaves of this sedum are sure to grab your attention in the landscape. Sturdy stems create upright clumps which sprout large flower clusters late in the season. Star-shaped, creamy blooms with deep red centers make their appearance in September, providing nectar for end-of-the-season pollinators. Seedheads provide a winter food source for birds. Plant in full sun in average to poor, well-drained soils. Rich soils will cause plants to stretch and fall open.
