MOUNTAIN NINEBARK
Description
Native to the western United States, Mountain Ninebark is an hardy shrub that makes a great specimen or border. It can tolerate dry and clay soils once established. Clusters of white, fragrant spirea-like flowers bloom in late spring. Deep green leaves turn yellow in the fall. Bark exfoliates cinnamon-brown and tan, adding winter interested to the landscape. Cut back in late winter to renew growth.
