MT. AIRY FOTHERGILLA
Description
Mt. Airy Fothergilla is an attractive shrub that is naturally dwarf. It is a hybrid of Dwarf and Large Fothergillas. It is one of the best shrubs for shaded areas. Bottlebrush clusters of fragrant white flowers bloom in late April-early May, and are a good nectar source for bees. Green, leathery leaves turn attractive shades of red, orange, and yellow in the fall. Use in foundation or border plantings, as well as natural gardens.
