PLUMBAGO
Description
Plant in sun to partial shade, preferably in moist to medium wet well drained soil. It will not tolerate wet, poorly drained soil, nor is it drought tolerant. It is late to break dormancy in the spring. The blue flowers are very vivid, and the fall foilage adds great color to the border, garden, and groundcover areas. The heart shaped foilage is quite handsome. It is a great groundcover, and lovely when combined with hosta, dicentra, solomon’s seal, or shade wildflowers.
