PORCUPINE MAIDEN GRASS
Description
Porcupine grass is a large, attractive cultivar of Maiden Grass. It has a very similar appearence to Zebra Grass, but Porcupine has an upright growth pattern and sturdier stems than Zebra. Medium-green foliage has yellow horizontal bands, and turns tan in the fall. Silvery, tassel-like flowerheads bloom in late summer-early fall. Foliage and seedheads add winter interest. Porcupine Grass adapts to a wide variety of soil conditions once established
