PUMILA ASTILBE
Description
Pumila is a compact variety of Chinese astilbe. Plume-like clusters of lilac-pink flowers bloom in the summer, and are attractive to butterflies. Old flowerheads provide winter interest. Compound leaves are deep green. Pumila Astilbe requires moist, well-drained soils and does not like to dry out. It is a great perennial for a shaded area.
