Description
Purple Leaf Sandcherry, also known as Cistena Plum, is a fast-growing shrub that adds good color throughout the growing season. Clusters of fragrant, white flowers bloom in spring after the leaves develop. Leaves emerge burgundy-red and mature to a red-purple that lasts throughout the summer and into the fall. It is a low maintenance shrub once established, and can be pruned immediately after flowering. This plant does require a well-drained soil and does best in full sun.
