SCARLET HEAVEN ITOH PEONY
Description
Itoh peonies are a cross between a tree peony and herbaceous peony. This variety is one of the best red peonies available. Huge blooms can be more than 7 inches wide in spring and are held on sturdy stems, making a great cut flower. Rich, scarlet-red blooms have bright, golden-yellow anthers which contrast boldly with the velvety petals. An upright, mounding form, the dark green foliage holds up very well late into the summer. Plant in full sun with good drainage and enjoy this long-lived beauty.
