WINGED EUONYMUS
Description
Often called Burning Bush, Winged Euonymus makes a good specimen or hedge. Green leaves turn bright red-pink in the fall, and get their best color in full sun. Young stems have corky ‘wings’ on them. Tiny green flowers develop red fruits in the fall. This hardy shrub makes a standout in the fall. Avoid planting in wet soils, but needs good mulching to retain moisture.
