BURNING HEARTS FALSE SUNFLOWER
Description
Perfect for injecting intense color to the back of a sunny border, this heliopsis blooms for a long period of time. Bright yellow, daisy-like flowers with dark orange-red centers begin to open in July. Each flower is held atop deep burgundy stems and ages to a glowing golden yellow. This is a well-branched, bushy plant with glossy green foliage tinged with purple. Heliopsis can tolerate some drought, but will do better with regular watering. Rich soils will cause plants to flop.
