COMMON WITCHHAZEL
Description
A unique large shrub/small tree native to our area, Common Witch-hazel develops an irregular growth pattern that is great for a naturalized setting. Medium-green leaves turn golden-yellow in the fall. Witch-hazel is one of the last shrubs to bloom, saving it’s light yellow, fragrant flowers for October. A shade-tolerant plant, it will develop more flowers in full sun to part shade. However, leaves may discolor in full sun conditions.
