CRESCENDO SUGAR MAPLE
Description
This cultivar of Sugar Maple originated at the Morton Arboretum, so it is well adapted to our climate. It is more heat and drought tolerant than other Sugar Maple cultivars once established. Deep green leaves turn shades of bright orange and red in the fall. These features make it a great shade tree for the lawn or parkway. Sugar Maples are an important larval food source for many butterfly species, and attract migratory birds. This is an introduction from Chicagoland Grows.
