FRANCES WILLIAMS HOSTA
Description
Plant in shade in rich, well drained soil. It is good for dry shade under trees. The blue-green heart-shaped leaves are heavily corrugated (giving it good slug resistance) and have wide gold margins. The lavender flowers are held on 24″ scapes. Cut off discolored leaves and spent flowers. Cut back after first frost. Use in borders, as groundcover, or a specimen. Works well with ferns, astilbe, and vinca.
