MONSIEUR JULES ELIE PEONY
Description
Plant in full sun in well-drained, deep fertile soil. Plant with compost to enrich the soil, and use mulch to conserve moisture. This fragrant peony has very strong stems, making it an excellent cut flower. Peonies are a great, long-lived addition to the mixed border. They don’t like to be disturbed, but divide in late summer/early fall if necessary. Fertilize with an all-purpose fertilizer after they bloom. Cut plants back in the fall. Deer resistant.
