NANNYBERRY VIBURNUM
Description
Nannyberry is a northern Illinois native viburnum that makes a great specimen, natural hedge, or a large border. Clusters of white flowers bloom in mid-spring. Glossy, deep green leaves turn attractive shades of red, orange, and yellow in the fall. Flowers develop into purple-blue fruits that are an important food source for birds in the fall and winter. A very adaptable and hardy shrub, Nannyberry can tolerate wet areas, dry soils, and clay soils once established.
