SCOTCH MOSS
Description
Prefers light to moderate shade and moist, well drained soil but will tolerate sandy well drained soils. Not drought tolerant, so it must be watered frequently in hot, dry weather. Use between stepping stones, in crevices, or as a small-scale groundcover. It will tolerate light foot traffic. Scotch Moss does nicely in troughs as the “groundcover” for taller plants. It attracts butterflies and is deer resistant.
