SPILLED WINE WEIGELA
Description
A colorful plant for small spaces or edging a border, ‘Spilled Wine’ offers plenty of contrast in the sunny garden. This is a purple-leafed weigela with vivid pink, tubular flowers in late spring/early summer. Waxy leaves have wavy margins and do not fade to green in the hot summer sun. Prefers moist, well-drained planting areas, but is adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions. Pruning, if necessary, is best done immediately after flowering, as this plant blooms on old wood.
