BLOOMSTRUCK HYDRANGEA
Description
Bloomstruck is a new addition to the Endless Summer collection of hydrangeas. Large clusters of sterile flowers bloom pink in neutral soils and blue in acidic soil conditions. Deep green leaves are held on red stems, and turn red-purple in the fall. Flowers will increase in full sun, but the plants need constant moisture to thrive. It is not drought tolerant. Will bloom on old and new wood although it is not uncommon for buds on old wood to be killed off in Chicago winters.
