STATE STREET MAPLE
Description
This maple, native to Japan, is a good street tree to use as a replacement for ash trees. It is heat and drought tolerant once established, unlike Norway Maples. Medium-green leaves turn golden yellow in the fall. Gray bark becomes corky with age. State Street is a Chicagoland Grows selection that was developed at the Morton Arboretum.
