ALPINE CURRANT
Description
Alpine Currant is a tough shrub that makes a great formal hedge. Deep green, palmate leaves turn yellow in the fall. Tiny yellow flower clusters bloom in the spring. An adaptable shrub, it can tolerate a good amount of shade and drier areas. It can also tolerate heavy shearing and trimming to make a good screen. As the shrub ages, branches may exfoliate, offering an extra bit of winter interest. This is a very winter hardy shrub.
