ARMSTRONG RED MAPLE
Description
Armstrong Red is a Freeman Maple cultivar with a narrow, upright growth pattern. Tiny red flower clusters bloom in early spring, and give way to medium-green leaves with silvery undersides. These leaves turn an attractive red-orange in the fall. Bark is silvery-gray when young. Tolerant of many soil conditions, this is a good tree for boulevards, along property lines, or sites unsuitable for a wide-spreading shade tree.
