BRITT-MARIE CRAWFORD LIGULARIA
Description
Moist to wet soil — do not allow to dry out. This is an excellent plant for wet, shady areas. Ligularia will wilt in hot afternoon sun (normally revives at night) and will not tolerate drought. This is a long-lived plant that seldom needs division. Birds like the brown flower pods, and the large leaves are very attractive. The daisy-like flowers seem to “sit” on the rounded leaves. It is also known as Golden Grounsel. Good companions are ferns, astilbes, and aruncus.
