CANDYMINT SARGENT CRAB
Description
Candymint Sargent Crabapple is a hardy cultivar that is great for small areas. The deep carmine buds open to single pink flowers edged in red that cover the tree in spring. Bark is cherry-like and reddish brown. Leaves emerge maroon in the spring and mature to green. The small, 3/8″ red fruit ripen in the fall, and attract birds. Candymint has excellent resistance to apple scab and cedar- apple rust.
