GOLDEN WEEPING WILLOW
Description
This popular shade tree grows best in an open area near water. Narrow green leaves bud early and hold on the tree late into the fall. Bright yellow, cascading twigs add winter interest. Best for large areas and not as a street tree or in most home landscapes. The shallow roots may clog sewers and drains, and dropping twigs and branches can present a problem. A host plant for a variety of butterfly species.
