KARL ROSENFIELD PEONY
Description
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Wet soil can promote root rot. Plant with compost to enrich the soil, and mulch to conserve moisture. This is an old standard with bright crimson, double flowers that are fragrant and excellent for cutting. Cut stems down in the fall after a frost, and dispose of the foliage. It looks good with spring bulbs, geraniums, snow-in-summer and nepeta. Deer resistant.
