KODIAK BLACK BUSH HONEYSUCKLE
Description
Versatility is what you get with this shrub. It can grow in full sun to full shade and all light conditions in between. Dark burgundy-green foliage is almost black in color in spring and sports red tones in fall. More sun results in more intense coloring. The sweet nectar-filled clusters of bright yellow, trumpet-shaped flowers bloom in early summer, attracting pollinators and birds. Dry soils are tolerated once plants are established. Although called a honeysuckle, this is a noninvasive shrub.
