PJM RHODODENDRON
Description
Plant in full sun to partial shade. Requires rich, well-drained, not wet, acidic soil and benefits from being mulched. Prune after flowering as buds are set during the summer and late pruning removes the flower buds for the next season. PJM prefers a somewhat sheltered location with wind protection. They are not drought tolerant, requiring consistent moisture but, they are very hardy in the Chicago area. During bloom time, this plant is covered in blossoms and in winter, the foliage is a rich mahogany.
