PURPLE CHINESE ASTILBE
Description
Purple Chinese Astilbe is an attractive perennial to add summer color to the shade garden. Clusters of tiny, rose-purple flowers bloom in July-August, and are attractive to butterflies. Fern-like foliage is deep green. Spent flowerheads can be left up for winter interst. Purple Chinese Astilbe prefers full to part shade and moist soil. It cannot tolerate drought.
