RUBY SLIPPERS OAKLEAF HYDRANGEA
Description
Ruby Slippers is a dwarf Oakleaf Hydrangea cultivar that develops a rounded growth habit. Panicles of creamy-white flowers bloom in mid-summer, and mature to a rich, pink that holds color well into the fall. Spent, tan flowerheads are attractive in the winter. Deep green, oak-like leaves turn red-purple in the fall. Cinnamon-orange bark is attractive in the winter months. Ruby Slippers prefers full sun to light shade, and moist, well-drained soil. Plant in a location that is protected from winter winds.
