SCARLET BEAUTY SWEETSPIRE
Description
Scarlet Beauty is a cultivar of the native Virginia Sweetspire. Glossy, deep green leaves turn bright scarlet-red in the fall, and keep their color for a long period in the fall. Cascading spikes of white, fragrant flowers bloom in the summer. This adaptable shrub can tolerate sunny and shady conditions, clay soils and wet sites once established. It’s a great shrub to use as a specimen, low border, or as a foundation. Scarlet Beauty is an introduction from Chicagoland Grows.
