SHAWNEE BRAVE BALDCYPRESS
Shawnee Brave has a strong central leader, and a more columnar growth habit than the species. A tree of the southern swamps and bayous, this cold hardy tree not only tolerates wet soils and standing water, but grows well in dry soils, clay and compact soils. Bright green needles emerge late in the spring, and turn yellow to russet-orange in the fall. This decidous conifer develops a pyramidal growth habit. It has beautiful cinnamon-colored bark.
