SUN VALLEY RED MAPLE
Description
Sun Valley maple is a U.S. National Arboretem introduction resulting from a cross of the red maple varieties Red Sunset and Autumn Flame. It is a male selection and, therefore, will not produce seed. This tree develops a very symmetrical, oval crown with exceptional red fall color. Although tolerant of a wide range of soil types, it prefers moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. A very cold-hardy tree, plant in full sun.
