THORNLESS COCKSPUR HAWTHORN
Description
This is a thornless cultivar of our native Cockspur Hawthorn. An adaptable small tree, it is great for any size landscape. It has a spreading crown when mature. Glossy, deep green leaves turn orange-yellow in the fall. Clusters of bright white, fragrant flowers bloom in late spring. Flowers develop into red fruits that are a good winter food source for birds. Native hawthorns are an important larval food source for many butterfly species, and attract migratory birds.
