TRICOLOR BEECH
Description
A beautiful shade tree, Tricolor Beech requires rich, moist soil that is slightly acidic. It cannot tolerate wet or compacted soils. Leaves are maroon-green with pink variegation and hold their color into the fall. Bark is smooth and gray. Does best in areas with morning sun and afternoon shade to protect the leaves from scorch during hot dry periods.
