URBAN PINNACLE BUR OAK
Description
Bur oaks are very adaptable trees and this variety is no different. ‘Urban Pinnacle’ is heat and drought tolerant, once established. It is not particular as to soil pH and can handle moist settings. Its strong central leader keeps its form upright and narrow. Acorns are much smaller compared to other bur oaks and are loved by small animals and deer. Glossy green, lobed leaves are a butterfly larval food source. Fall color is yellow changing to russet. Dark grey, furrowed bark provides winter interest.
