FLAME AMUR MAPLE
Description
A showy, nice-sized tree for smaller landscape situations. Spring flowers not striking but, are very fragrant. ‘Flame’ has distinctive, 3-lobed leaves that turn a brilliant red in fall. An abundance of showy, red samaras are produced in summer. Does best with a bit of protection from afternoon sun. It is adaptable to both moist and dry soil conditions and is highly tolerant of urban pollution, although it is not salt tolerant. Under ideal conditions, expect this tree to live about 60 years.
